Well'p, all six of my guys are doing fairly well, I suppose. Lost Manadrin Flame after a tank cleaning accident. Apparently something got into the water of his tank, and he suffocated... ;o; Loved the little bastard

It could be either. If he's an older fish, or has had an accident recently [like being dropped, or has had water poured very quickly into his bowl], it's more likely to be a permanent thing.

You've already done exactly what I would recommend, though, moving him into the longer, more shallow container and giving him the plant. Just be sure to maintain the water and keep him in good health, as his immune system is a little strained now.

I've had him since late last summer, so I suppose he's about middle-aged. He's otherwise healthy and still retains the same lively yet sullen personality he's always had, so I'll just keep an eye on him and watch the water quality~
