Dear Yuletide Santa -
I tried to make my requests as clear as possible about the types of things that I might want to see, but in addition to my request details what I want to say is - you are made of awesome. Anything you write me will be great. So you can use these details or ignore them at your leisure, and I’ll be completely happy.
I prefer slash, but if you don’t like writing slash don’t feel obligated by any means (though if you offered to write for most of my requests this year, you probably don’t mind the man on man action!) Just no explicit het scenes, and I'll be good.
I like graphic and explicit just as much as I like fade to blacks. I like funny, and I like angsty, and I like UST as much as I like fluff. I prefer happy endings in fic, but if it just doesn’t turn out that way I’ll probably cry for them and still really enjoy the story. Just try not to kill everyone, and be true to characterizations, and I will be perfectly happy with anything.
My only real squicks are non-con and hard kink (nothing to do with bodily fluids, nothing to painful, yeah...) Avoid those, and anything that can happen between two (or more) consenting adults is fine by me.
Anyway, here are the specifics from my requests with some additional comments!
Noah’s Arc - What I love about this show are the character interactions, how much they care for each other no matter how dysfunctional they sometimes are. I should say - I’m not the hugest fan of Wade, so I would enjoy a story that isn't centered on him, though if you want to write him feel free. Ricky is my favorite character, I love the way he continually is discovering that he’s a lot deeper than he thinks he is, and I really love Ricky/Junito or Ricky/Noah. Want to rewrite the film so that Noah goes for Ricky instead, have at it! Want to bring Junito back? I can’t believe he wasn’t in the film to begin with! Want to put Ricky/Junito/Noah in a hot threeway? I won’t complain. Or, on the gen side, the gang does a lot of things well: hang out, protect each other, rescue each other. My favorite secondary characters are Trey, Baby Gat, and T-Money in the series and I thought Brandon was awesome in the film. Honestly, I’d be up for just about anything.
This is the same request as a request I made last year - I got an awesome Ricky/Noah holiday story - as far as I know, though, there are only two stories in this fandom in existence, but the canon is really easy to get ahold of. Both seasons of the show and the feature film are all available on Netflix to watch instantly.
Boy Culture: I can’t believe there isn’t any fic about this movie/book, honestly. Though I did enjoy the film more than I enjoyed the novel (and yes I know that’s sacrilege most of the time, I can’t help it!) I really liked the dynamic between X and Andrew, and I’d love to see it expanded further. How long can their arrangement last without some drama, really? I also adore X’s voice and the ‘journal entry’ honesty of his narration. And Joey! I love Joey and his journey to finding himself. Anything you write for this will be great. Roommate threesome? It would be hot. X and Andrew figuring out their relationship? That would be awesome. Joey trying to break into X’s business? Hilarity would ensue! Character study in X’s voice, a continuation to the narrative? Perfect too. It’s all up to you.
This is another request from last year. I honestly don't know that there's any fic about this film (or the novel version either), but it's available through Netflix, unfortunately not through Watch Instantly.
Camp: It was Glee before Glee was cool! If you remember this little gem of a movie, it's probably because you're as much of a dork for musical theater as I am. I really am nominating this on the spur of the moment, but what I think would be cool is future fic - a reunion of sorts, or even just a 'where are they now' sort of thing. I'm also up for missing scenes, or the next summer at Camp! Vlad/Michael would be nice, but not a must.
As I'm thinking about it, and even though I'm not really that into Glee (I know, sad. I plan on getting into it, I just haven't had time!) a crossover would sort of be hilarious too, no?
No Ordinary Family: Brand new fandom! So much room to play with things! I really like J.J.! I really want to see more of J.J.! I wish J.J. didn't have that unfortunate incident of trying to impress girls, which makes my slasher's brain say 'but there's so much potential if you don't do that!'... But still.
Obviously, this is the one fandom where slash isn't as easy as the others, but if you want to - by all means! With an OC, one of the football players, that buddy of his at school who gives him rides home? That character Jackson Rathbone played! Another Super who comes to get close to him? Whatever. He's a high school freshman, he can be discovering himself! Absolutely not necessary for me to be happy, though.
He's adorable, and I sort of want to keep him in my pocket. So, J.J. fic! And anything past that is totally up to you.
To sum up the most important bit: You are made of awesome and can write anything. That’s all.
