Yuletide Letter, 2014
Dear Yuletide Santa -
In addition to my request details what I want to say is - you are made of awesome. Anything you write me will be great. I’m fine with anything from g rated to explicit bdsm smut and everything in between, love fluff as much as I love angst, and am (honestly) going to love anything you imagine up for this challenge. I enjoy slash more than het, and het more than femme, but have been reading more het in general lately too so I’m not really even sure of that anymore. Love is love, so if you want to write about love then write whatever kind of love you want to write as long as it’s between consenting adults. My requests definitely lean toward slash, but if you’re not comfortable with that then do not feel obligated!
I like graphic and explicit just as much as I like fade to blacks. I like funny, and I like angsty, and I like UST as much as I like fluff. I prefer happy endings in fic, but if it just doesn’t turn out that way I’ll probably cry for them and still really enjoy the story. I also believe that a ‘happy ending’ doesn’t always look the same for one character, or in one fandom, as it does in another. Sometimes darker things are ‘happy’ too, in their own way. Just try not to kill everyone, and be true to characterizations and the feel of the source material, and I will be in love with whatever you’ve created.
I don’t mind kink and I don’t mind graphic. Tie people up and spank them as much as you want. In general my only real squicks are non-con and anything related to bodily waste. Avoid those, and anything that can happen between two (or more) consenting adults is fine by me. I love love stories, explorations of family dynamics, first times (for anything), real friendships, queer reimagining, realistic narratives, funky historical strangeness, strange sci-fi weird, and REALLY anything you want to do.

I’ve just watched every episode up to this point in a rush from my DVR. Shonda Rimes and I are hit and miss, but I LOVE courtroom dramas with a ridiculous passion, and this one is my new favorite. Connor hits all my buttons and I love him. Anything about him that you want to write is going to be amazing. Pair him with anyone (I like all the other boys), do backstory, AU, Crossover, kink, whatever, go crazy!
The 4400
Maia Rutledge, Marco Pacell
This is an either/or request for me. I’m interested in Maia and in Marco, but they don’t necessarily have to be in a story together, so if you’d rather just write about one of them, feel free! I’m interested in the aftermath - What happened in the world of The 4400 after the show? How did Marco deal with new powers? How did Maia grow up? Anything you write is going to be great!

Johnny Tuturro, Mike Warren, Paul Briggs
I’m not entirely caught up on the last season, but I will be before story reveals so don’t worry about spoiling me. Honestly, anything with the three of these guys is going to be great, even if it’s not a slashy threeway (which I wouldn’t complain about…) Case stuff, fallout, fix-it, AU, as long as their dynamic is there I’m good. Anything you write is going to be awesome!
Persuasion - Jane Austen
Anne Elliot, Frederick Wentworth
My favorite Austen, by far. I’m interested in what happened next in whatever form you want that to take. Bonus points for pirates, for Anne kicking ass, for sexy times that involve them being very in love and both of them getting to let go of how controlled they are for a little while. Anything you write is going to be awesome!
Under the Dome
James "Junior" Rennie, Joe McAlister
My first two ideas for this are things that you would need some extra research to do, and so please don’t feel obligated to do these unless it’s something that you feel like you really want to try! The Stephen King book that this was based on wasn’t nominated, and so I definitely know that you might not know the book or care, but if you’re a King fan like I am then maybe it’s something that’s interesting to you too. First, I was thinking it would be funny if either one of these boys somehow found the King version of themselves and had to interact somehow with them. Or just read the narrative in the novel and realized how different it is from what’s actually happening to them! IDK. Alternatively, it would be interesting to read about intersections between the Under the Dome universe (either of them) and The Gunslinger universe.
BUT - I’ll also take any general town happenings. I’m not caught up entirely through this season yet, but I will be soon. I’ll also take James/Joe slash happily, where there’s some discussion of how completely fucked up it is re: Angie, but Joe would be good for Junior. Anything you write here is going to be great! Or with this you can do any sort of weird AU you would like. Or what their lives would be like if they were just in a normal town, and the dome wasn't there at all.

Okay, Oz was my very first fandom ever. Before I even knew what slash was, before I knew what fandom was, I snuck this show on the downstairs TV so my parents wouldn’t see me watching it. I loved this show. Ryan was my favorite character of all time, so legitimately anything you write about him would be amazing. Slash him with one of the other boys (preferably with Miguel Alvarez even though he’s not one of the character choices) or just show him being a conflicted BAMF. I’ll be happy any way you write him!
