Leo's Logs

Jan 10, 2019 15:18

[Leonardo, almost immediately after finding Don and running some recon with him, scored two notebooks and a pen. He keeps one of them hidden -CLEVERLY- beneath his mattress, and fills it with updates every time he talks to someone.]

CREW

CAPTAIN REDD: Megalomaniac with a god complex but the power to back it up. Can alter reality as he sees fit. Difficult to hold reasonable conversation with. Controlling, protective and possessive of his crew, but treats them very poorly. EDIT - Bastard. Must kill slowly at first opportunity.

KAGE: First Mate. Very adept at combat; labeled "dangerous," "crazy" and "definitely hiding something" by Jak. Forced into position by reasons unknown. Seems honest, but not to be trusted completely due to his loyalty to the captain.

MEIFENG: Second Mate. Previously an enemy pirate. Had killed a good deal of passengers before being subdued by the First Mate. Upon spotting the Captain's...heron...requested to stay aboard the Elegante. Was granted permission, despite her attack on the ship.

MEDIC (name unknown): Robotic first aid assistance. Six feet tall, moves on treads, multiple lenses for a "face," multiple arms strong enough to restrain a full grown human male. (I think he was human.) Uses medical care as an excuse to "explore" a patient's physiology. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Note: Keep Don away from the damn thing.

METH: Has the ability to restrain passengers without the use of physical force; I'm guessing some kind of telekinesis. Occupation unknown.

MIHAILA: Cook. Very weak to...flattery; was possibly a woman of high political or social stature. No (known) notable strengths. DECEASED

ENGINEER: -researching

RESTOCK: -researching

PASSENGERS

BATOU: Cyborg, probably Japanese in origin. Constructed/upgraded for heavy-duty combat; prefers boxing style. Second in command to Major Kusanagi (note: gain audience with Kusanagi, but wait to see if Batou passes on word without interference). Apparently has been aboard for the entire duration of the trip. HESITANT ALLY.

JAK: Young...man, maybe? Has extremely long ears, but doesn't exactly match any known descriptions of elves from Earth. Seems to be capable enough, has been on the ship for nearly a year. Willing to share information for nothing in return. POTENTIAL ALLY.

IRONHIDE: "Autobot." A mechanical creature that can transform into a bipedal form from that of what appears to be a GMC-model truck. Has several allies and enemies (Decepticons) on board. War veteran, somewhat sarcastic nature and a swift temper. POTENTIAL ALLY.

GIDEON: Gentleman; seems a bit nervous in nature, has been aboard approx. six months. Had a run-in with the medic. NEUTRAL PARTY.

KATE: Young woman. Gentle and honest in nature; willing to share information, but unfortunately didn't have anything new. INNOCENT BYSTANDER. Possibly an agent of Remy's. Handle with care.

ROCHELLE: New arrival, around the same time as Don and myself. Apparently had suffered an apocalyptic crisis before being brought aboard. ...probably the most normal person here. INNOCENT BYSTANDER.

REMY: Supposedly very closed with his information. Kind of paranoid, but I guess it comes with the surroundings. No other observations available. A jerk, and a coward. A coward by experience maybe, but a coward all the same. ENEMY.

HERZ: Human from Kansas; good cook, good kid. INNOCENT BYSTANDER. Edit: Really should lay off the drink... Edit: Still a good kid. Hopefully this tentative friendship is on the mend. INNOCENT BYSTANDER.

MAJOR KUSANAGI: Cyborg, special-ops, Batou's superior. Very straight-forward, but was free with information. HESITANT ALLY.

NORTH: A..."pet" from Detroit 2043. About fifteen years old, mentally. Sort of shy, but considerate and kind. INNOCENT BYSTANDER.

"TYLER": Bastard. ENEMY.

NABOORU: A wise and capable woman and a good leader. POTENTIAL ALLY.

-Individuals usually arrive every Friday and Saturday. The crew states that there is a "system" that "brings us here and keeps us here." More research is required.

-Death is not permanent. More research is required. Supposedly

-The Carnival. Supposedly extremely dangerous and brutal. Investigation is required.

-The crew is being poisoned by the Captain. Witnesses claim seeing the crew being forced medications, only to deny the situation took place at all.

-The punishment for murdering crew is severe. Only one known case; the man was skinned, had his bones broken and was hung by a meat hook to bleed out by the Captain. Note: for the love of GOD, keep an eye on Raphael when he's found.

-This boat has been sailing for a long, long time. Apparently long enough to circle the Earth twice, by Don's calculations.

-THE CREW CLAIMS OUR ORIGINAL WORLDS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED. Supposedly to "prevent chaos." This is not to be taken as fact. More research is required. There are individuals on the boat that had sailed previously, but don't remember it. One would assume this to mean that they've been taken from a time before their first voyage; however, if their worlds are currently destroyed with the time they're at, how did their future incarnations come to be to arrive on this boat in the first place? NOTE TO SELF: FIND OUT EXACTLY HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS.

-THE CREW WAS FORCED INTO SERVITUDE BY CONTRACT. They apparently "chose" to serve Captain Redd in favor of something far worse, and will continue to serve him until they cease to be. I couldn't glean a lot about what was worse than serving the Captain, but she mentioned "pirate ships." (Meifeng may know something)

-THERE ARE PASSENGERS BEING HELD BELOW DECK. No obvious similarities between captives, save for a red spiral found on their person. Jak seemed to think it was an infection, but when I suggested brands he said he wasn't sure what they were. Two escaped and began to kill passengers, but were pacified by the crew. CONFIRMED BY MAJOR KUSANAGI: It is an infection, Jak was right. It's a disease that spreads and induces rage; they turn on friends and loved ones and attack. They were once "pure," like us.

-THE CREW IS POSSIBLY INFECTED BY THE SAME DISEASE THE PASSENGERS BELOW CARRY. *Note: definitely do some more digging on this theory.

-CAPTAIN HAS SOME WEIRD OBSESSION WITH BIRDS. It's really disturbing.

[The next notebook is just shoved within a drawer in his desk.]

Day 1

Both relieved and disappointed that I found Don, now worried to death about Mikey and Raph. I don't trust this place to sleep in, but they could have killed me already if they wanted me dead. I'll have to risk it.

Day 2

Spoke with a passenger late last night; he was drunk as hell on a public line. Embarrassing.

Met the First Mate; got some insight about the crew. I'm not sure what to think of him. I hope to God he was telling the truth, but I know it'd be naive to think he was.

Decided after what I'd seen that the only way we'll get anywhere is if we speak with the passengers. Don showed me how to lock; I barely got it and I suck at it. Won't be using that often, then. Someone held a locked conversation on my entry and I might ask Don to hack it later, maybe. I have a good hunch who one of them is, at least.

Day 3

She was terrified because she spoke to me. I used her for information. Kage had said he wouldn't tell me anything he shouldn't for fear of "punishment" from the Captain. She didn't "leave" the ship.

I'm responsible for what happened to Mihaila Nerlavwa.

Day 4

LEARN TO KNOCK.

Day 5

Went out scavenging with Don on the floor with all the luggage. I'm not sure how I feel about taking it; it had to belong to someone, right? But...this is no time to be picky.

I spent the rest of my time in the forest meditating. I tried to reach Master Splinter first...no such luck. Couldn't get Raph or Mike either, but that was expected. Especially Raph.

Tomorrow I'll go to Sergei's and see if Herz is there. He wasn't when I dropped by today, but...well. I need to apologize and I really shouldn't put it off.

Day 6

I'd like to say that could've gone better, but it really couldn't have. Herz is probably pissed at me now; he and Raph could start a club. I'll have to avoid Sergei's unless that Zeke guy is the one cooking.

The meeting with the Major went well.

Day 9

Game start.

Day 14

No sign of infection yet. I think we'll be fine. We didn't find Raph. It was a total waste; and now the other passengers are paying for my impatience and inexperience.

This can't happen again.

Day 15

Raph is here. He's safe.

Day 21

April's here now too. What are we, collectibles?

Day 28

...am I controlling?

Day 30

I will kill Captain Redd.

Day 32

Raph's back. There's something written on his shell, and he won't talk about it.

Day Whatever

Why am I writing in a diary? I'm done.
