[ Before her sensei's death, before the destruction of her village, Ino could've seen Shikamaru and Chouji, Sakura, and the rest of the rookie 9 just a few times a month and that would've been good enough. Now, within the span of a few seconds... it doesn't seem like nearly enough, and while Shikamaru can be pretty entertaining for a while, Ino misses more feminine, less mulish company. She misses her flat-chested, less beautiful best friend, who has apparently been up to a lot of things while Ino had her head turned.

Sneaky little whore.

After running to the convenience store for some booze--just in case!--and ice cream--chocolate for Sakura, fat free strawberry for herself--and herding Shikamaru out of the apartment with screeched instructions not the show his ugly face again for a few hours, Ino settles down on the couch to wait for Sakura.

This is either going to be a disaster or... a smaller disaster. ]

[A few hours after her arrival, some time spend having tea with Neji, among other things, Sakura walks to Ino's apartment. It's not that she wants to revisit her past in the City, and her relationship with Sai, but if she doesn't she will never hear the end of it from the other girl.

Plus, she wants icecream. And that's all! So she rings the bell to Shikamaru's place, the location that she now knows thanks to Ino. Score!]

[ Finally! Note to self: kick Shikamaru out after Sakura has shown up, so he can at least entertain her for a bit while she waits. Bad things happen whenever Ino is left to her own devices. Just look at the very, very purple decor.

With a wide smile, she swings the door open, not even waiting for Sakura to say hi before dragging her inside. ]
