It's weird to lose a friend. Especially when I didn't have a decision in the matter. I had logged in to gmail but was not at the computer and received a IM from her, "i can't be friends with you anymore. sorry."  She then either logged off or blocked me.  I haven't spoken to her since.  I haven't even tried to call, I assume she wouldn't answer if ( Read more... )

I prefer my passive-aggressive method employed above. You are of course, correct, as usual. I'd like to think that I'm doing it this way out of respect for the wishes of another sentient being who has made it pointedly clear that she wishes no contact with me whatsoever, with no possibility of that situation changing or suggestion that there was anything to be done about it. More likely I cower out of fear, though what I fear I'm not sure. Perhaps I fear that I will discover that it is correct for her to cut off contact with me, and so demonstrate that I am unfit for human contact?

I suppose it might, but no amount of contact now would bridge the gap, so to speak. Or are you making veiled reference to yourself, oft-uncontacted friend?
