Okay people, "feminist" isn't a dirty word. I'm sick unto death of everyone who talks about gender issues leading with "now don't get me wrong here, I'm not a feminist or some other crazy thing like that." Take a deep breath. Steel yourself. I think it's all about differential reproduction. Everyone wants to compare themselves favorably to most other potential mates. Thus, it's an irrepressible temptation to actively bring up negative stereotypes next to which you appear preferable and contrast yourself with them. "Well, popular wisdom has it that some women are shrill harpies, but lucky for you, I am intelligent and self-possessed!" "Many stereotypical portrayals of men are characterized by slovenliness and self-absorption, but as it happens, I am a sensitive soul who reads poetry."

But anyway yeah, of course they're feminists. We're all feminists here, I hope. Gender equality is a good idea, Y/N?
