People should be interested in you for your intrinsic worth, but most won't stick around if they are neglected no matter how intrinsically worthy you are. People should not have outrageous expectations of getting something from you, but realistically should be able to count on a certain level of social convention from you. Otherwise, it's not friendship, it's some random occurrence without a basis for connection over time. If that's what you want, then I suppose that's okay, but you sound kind of angsty if that's really what you want
