Does anyone remember those kids' science books from the 70s, where they had cool, swirly black and white plant diagram/illustrations? I know those kinds of illustrations were called something specific, but I can't remember. I seriously need to see some today.

Sorry it took so friggin' long to respond. I've been in a serious funk the past few days (not getting out of pajamas all day, or bed for that matter).

They were these old science hardcover books, with weird pictures on the front (I seem to remember a very strange punch & judy puppet) among other random things). But the pictures I likes were actually inside... very 'flora & fauna' like.... like this:
