Does anyone out there know what it means "to yearn?"

According to my sophomores, it means "to go to the bathroom." Example:

"Mrs. Critchley, may I be excused. I have to go yearn."

Well, I had previously given up on every class I teach excepting, of course, my brilliant AP students.

I've recently discovered, however, that they are just a bunch of dumb-asses who know nothing of Greek drama! Curses!

As you all know, Hanukkah began on the 7th. To celebrate this holiday, a couple of my students crafted decorations for my classroom.

Today, a girl walked into class and upon seeing these exclaimed, "Oh! I wish I was Hanukkaan!"
