I need help!!!

I bought a razr v3i off ebay and am having the worst time getting it to work properly. I tried searing google but that has not been much help. Cingular is my cell provider. It came with phone tools so that you can add mp3's to the phone but i can not get it to work. the song supposedly goes to the phone but when i try to play it there is an error.

1) i believe the file needs to be 500k or less.
2) i used a 3rd part app
3) i can flash your phone w/the cingular firmware to fix the network error.

how do you flash the firmware and what kind of third party app should i use?
