So, the United lost two of my bags. Yes, I had three bags, but that's another story. The two bags I lost were one rolling suitcase with 98% of my clothes (and all of my graded papers... I would really like to see those again. I can buy new clothes) and my hiking backpack with my snorkel gear and the peep pillow. The good thing is that these bags ( Read more... )

Dude. It sounds like you lost more than $1,500. I'd double it. Clothes are expensive. Plus, how can you put a price on school work, school work you'd like to keep at least for a while?

Nah, it really was around 1500. The snorkel bag was around 800-900 (bag and contents) if not less, and I can't really see the clothes I had being more than 300-400. But the bags are back home so no worries.

I'm coming up sometime midjuly for another friend's wedding party, and I'm not sure of the date, but I have another wedding to go to here in houston in early August so that probably wouldn't work.

I'm sure we can probably work something out for when I come up in July though, right?

This is why we DO NOT fly United!!! Need I yell at you more? United is a bunch of stuffy overpriced freaks who treat you like shit despite the $400 you spend to have to deal with them tell you your suitcases are too heavy and that you are gonna have to pay $50 extra bucks PER BAG!! no fucking way, I hate them and only fly them because they are the cheapest way for me to get home. Welcome to the US of A, we missed you!

haha, I enjoyed that little rant. They made me pay 145 for my extra bag, when I didn't have to pay extra for the sporting goods (what was in the third bag) when I came home from Sydney. Well... it wasn't them, but it was Air New Zealand. And I really liked them before this... ah well

Oh, Apple is having a thing where you buy a mac and get a free iPod Mini (but it's a rebate? so you have to pay for it then mail in the receit and they'll send you a check) If you want I can send you a copy of the email.
