Gods in Pretentious Land

The Silent One: a death god, associated mostly with assassins. He represents treacherous murders and quiet kills. He's one of the lesser death gods, however.

Gods of Many Faces: Trickster gods, mostly worshipped in Kinniburgh, where a large sect of cultists live. They have no shape of their own, but rather take over the bodies of other people or animals, either to assist their worshippers or to harm those with little respect to them. Demands tribute of the first born child of every member of the cult at the age of ten.

The Weaver: Patron god of Kinniburgh. Often represented as a spider, much as they weave their webs. It doubles as a god of death and secrecy, but mostly just weaving. Don't want to give the wrong impression, after all.

The Cloaked Lady: Goddess of wanderers, those with ill luck, and the misplaced. Very benevolent.

The Ancient One: A universal god of the sun. He's supposedly the father of all the gods, and the one who gives life.

The Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone: Moon goddesses. Double as fertility goddesses, mother goddesses, etc. More zealous members of their temples tend to sacrifice virgins during the new moon (this usually only occurs in the Abere Islands, though some of the nomadic tribes in the Wasteland have been known to practice this as well).

Enu: Patron god of Risdall. Although mostly recognized as a goddess of war, she is also associated with order, government, and higher learning. Enu was once a twin goddess, but as her male counterpart was highly worshipped by the previous royal family, the mythos that he was also deposed of his throne when he grew tyrannical became quite popular.

Emrys: God of magic. Often depicted as a stag or an old man, depending on which country you've just stepped foot in.

The Gardener: Patron god of the Wasteland. The only reason that the Wasteland thrives is because of a number of live-giving oases in the desert. The Gardener is not one, but many sprites that come to breathe life into the water and plants.

White Fang: Patron goddess in the north. The goddess is highly revered to the tribes that live on the tundra to be the first mother dragon, the one who gave her lifeblood to all dragons. It's believed that when magic is brought back to the world, she will once again breathe life into her great children.

Oceanus: Patron god of the Abere Islands. A sea god, often depicted with the tail of a fish and a large, three-pronged spear. Oceanus is worshipped by many coastal cities, not just the Islands.

Reaper: Main god of death, often shown with his wife, Scythe, the goddess of the hunt and weaponry.

Other miscellaneous gods for everything from snow and rain to sex exist, of course.
