It took Gil Grissom a while to realize that the kindness Nick Stokes was showing him was in fact his way of courtship. But it took a big verbal slap from Catherine to finally SEE that the younger man was actually wooing him.
Though he had to admit that Nick had a strange way of showing it. Like when he brought special food for his Tarantula although he couldn't stand being near it. It was this little gesture that made Gil finally ask the young man out.
Smiling, he looked down at his lover close to him, knowing that his love was in a beautiful shape.
