Socks by Beverly Cleary is a good cat book (and the author has the same name as your mom!).

I read an ARC last year called Highway Cats, by Janet Taylor Lisle. It's a suspenseful story, if you like those.

My favorite animal books...well, they're about horses. :>)

Ah, yes. I've seen that book in Mom's library. Some of the others too. Lots of reading for me. :-)

Among my all time faves are Shiloh and Where the Red Fern Grows. Of course, for Patches, Millions of Cats! He's quite a blogger. Meow!

Yes, yes, yes. Shiloh is good, even if it is about a dog. Where the Red Fern Grows made me cry. Now Millions of Cats is right up my alley. :)
