Don and I had all three grandkids on Saturday from 9:30am to about 7:30pm. We're talking three boys ages 5 years, 2 years, and 5 months. Outdoor music fests
I used to enjoy these a lot more when I was younger, but now that I'm an (almost) old geezer I just want the weather to be perfect (no sweating!) and a place to sit that is reasonably comfortable. Also, I used to go to rock and indie-pop festivals, now they are almost exclusively jazz, where there are no mosh pits, slam dancing, or even beer ( Read more... ) -

Pet peeve
Ladies, have you noticed that public bathroom stalls are getting smaller? It is almost impossible to open the door and leave a stall any more without almost having to stand in the toilet bowl. If toilet stalls are going to be so small then why aren't the doors hung so that they swing out instead of in? One woman told me that maybe it is because ( Read more... ) -

Java restaurant
We didn't have time to cook after the building association meeting so we used a Happenings coupon and went to Java Mideast Cafe on Nicollet. I wanted the rabbit but the waitress informed me they didn't have any. Don got the gyros plate and I got a chicken and vegie plate. So, I'm watching Eureka (a newer series on the SciFi channel that I just started watching and am not sure if I like that much or not) and there is a character named Beverly and she has red hair (obviously dyed brick red). grandkids
Gotta love 'em. I had the two oldest (5 years and 20 months) over for about 5 hours yesterday. We went to Loring park and played in the sand and played in the kiddie pool. I had a dinner party on Saturday. It was actually at the behest of my stepson. When Don and I used to live in a highrise downtown we would have what we called an "open invite" to a drop-in cocktail party. We did it every other Friday and only during the summer months.
