Fairies in my summer solstice garden

Last night there were fairies in my garden. Really. Fairies with colored wings who flitted gracefully around the garden, touching their wands to flowers to imbue them with magic. BUT ---
Seriously seriously, you really need to re-think your conception of "ritual" once and for all. You say there was almost no ritual --- but, actually, everything we did was ritualistic in the broader sense; and, in fact, we performed several more formal rituals: the roses/wish rite, the poetry readings, your generous gifting, the candle lighting and blessing, and even the girls blessing of all the flowers in their fairy costumes at the beginning of the evening. It doesn't have to be scripted to be a ritual, or include elaborate---and pretentious---invocations of deities (and it probably shouldn't).

Thank you again for an idyllic evening in your gorgeous garden.
