I read this open letter to Tony Abbott in Frankie Magazine issue 36, which you may have come across too, maybe:

'...

First, it's ABOUT TIME someone in Canberra started paying attention to young ladies and showing some interest in their nocturnal bedroom hobbies. Personally I have spent many years wondering what on earth to do with this tricky and complex series of holes nestled between my thighs, and now that you have marched on in with your advice about 'precious gifts' and abortions and the like I realise that a 53-year-old male religious conservative is exactly who I should be turning to for moral and sexual guidance. To think that I could have trusted my instincts, or worse, presumed that, as a young woman, I and nobody else was in charge of the decisions made regarding my body! Wouldn't I have looked the fool if I'd gone ahead and *! Now I know that before I even consider pre-marital sex or *, I'll pause for a moment and think: 'What would Tony Abbott do in this situation ( ... )

I don't want Abbott to be PM, but I want Gillard to be PM even less. :/ It's a sucky situation to be in. I really wish the Libs had put up someone better as leader, because I just can't get enthusiastic about Abbott at all.

Well, it's not like we haven't had dodgy PMs before, I guess...I suppose it's just easier to bear when you can look at it as history and harder when it's actually happening to you. :P
