Noel didn't remember anything after Willow had shown her the clothes. She didn't remember changing out of that coarse government issue uniform or even taking a shower. The girl had just blinked, and there she was... standing in front of that familiar door with new clothing and wet hair that had obviously been trimmed up. The albino seemed to be in a daze, mouth parted faintly as those eyes remained glued on one dark spot that seemed to stand out from all the rest.

She hadn't noticed when Jun opened the door, staring vacantly as the young male stared right back. He stayed quiet, leaning against the doorframe as he crossed his arms over his chest before finally clearing his throat. When he got no response he yawned a little and walked back into the room, leaving Noel standing on her own as he shut the door once more.

"Noel?" Jynx's voice came from the heavy fog that had fallen over her mind, almost unheard over the silence. He slowly formed in front of her, looking a little worried before finally settling on the cement floor. "Uhm, Noel?"

"It's silent."

"What?" The boy started to drift a little, looking confused and concerned as he waved a dark hand in front of her face. "What's silent?"

"The voices. I don't hear them like I normally do. There's no background noise. Just... You, and me, and the echos." Noel finally blinked, looking at Jynx before bowing her head toward the floor. "It makes me feel a little lonely. It reminds me that I'm not at home anymore."

"Then talk to Jun about it, he might be able to help you."

The girl looked at the ghost in confusion, pale brows furrowing before she frowned visibly. Those eyes narrowed, before looking away almost anxiously.

"Why should I talk to him? He'll just say he wishes I were dead. He told me he doesn't care if the maggots get me."

Jynx sighed, looking up at the ceiling before shoving his hands into his pockets. Sometimes Noel wondered at this, how human he still acted even in death. How little sadness and anger the boy carried with him, even though he was trapped in a place like this.

"He's afraid, he's always afraid. Jun is..."

"A bastard?"

"No." Jynx frowned, glaring at Noel briefly before sighing once more. He seemed to be searching for the right thing to say, and started to look a little sad because of it. "Jun is different. I don't know how to explain it, he's afraid. I don't know what he's afraid of, though... I used to. Before... I mean... Yeah a long time ago I knew."

"You've forgotten?" Noel finally sat down, leaning her back against the door as she looked up at the blue-eyed apparition. "How did you die?"

The boy looked down at her before plopping on the floor with a faint shake of his head. He had a feeling they had already been through this before, yes he was sure they had.

"I don't remember. I just remember being very sad, feeling very sad for someone. Feeling very cold, and then suddenly being free from everything that had held me down before." He paused, freeing his hands as he stretched his legs out. "Someone told me that dying is like being born? It's not like that at all. It's closer to going into a freefall, all anchors severed and nothing to hold you back."

"But you're still here?"

"I think it's because I choose to be." A faint smile was give before he leaned forward, laughing a little. "You might want to move, Jun is about to open the door."

"What?" Noel blinked and Jynx was gone, as well as the door that had previously held her up. She slid back slowly as the door moved, her head leaning back to look up at a glowering Jun. She offered a flickering smile before scooting forward as he coughed softly.

"Get inside. Now."
