Noel appeared hurt by the order, looking up at Jun with a hazy, confused expression. He seemed to look right through her even as his face tilted, those dark eyes drilling into the floor before his wirey form disappeared from the doorway into the room once more. The albino's face shifted a little, her back tilting back to watch him until he was completely out of sight before she leaned forward in a hunch.
"Right. I'll be a good little puppy now."
She paused before tugging herself to her feet, leaning against the wall briefly as those red eyes searched for something to 'save' her before sighing quietly. Reluctantly she moved back into the room, shutting the door behind her as she moved in silence toward her bed. A good little puppy she was, Noel didn't even make any noise as she lowered herself onto the bed and looked down at her hands with a fleeting feeling of deja vu, a little shiver trailing down her spine. She felt like she should be remembering whatever it was that happened before she got to the room, but the only thing her mind drew up was a wide gray blank on her memory bank.
"Nice haircut."
Noel's head shot up, looking at Jun in confusion as his voice broke the silence. Her lips parted, revealing her teeth before they pressed together as she swallowed slowly. Her throat was so dry suddenly, she felt as if this were something important.
"Uhm. Thanks..." The girl's voice cracked a little, sounding a little hoarse as she watched the other occupant of the room warily. Her tongue flitted out to trace over her lips before she sat upright slowly.
"You don't remember getting it, do you?"
The silence that followed was thicker than it normally was, Noel and Jun watching each other without movement. It was the girl who looked away, once more casting her crimson gaze onto those curled fingers in her lap once more. How was she supposed to respond to that? He already knew the answer it seemed, why would he ask the question in the first place? Noel swallowed again, her dry throat desperately crying for water as she shivered once more.
"No." She responded quietly, finally looking away from her digits as she reached out to smooth the wrinkled blanket she sat on. Jun responded with a soft noise, resting his cheek against his palm as he continued to watch the meek girl on the bed. When Noel rose he didn't seem to be surprised, instead reaching for the book he had been reading earlier as the girl moved to walk out of the room once more.
