I like to think that if I had much of the working week done that I would get ever so much done - cycling, writing, stand-up comedy etc.

I suspect the reality would be that I would spend much of the week on the sofa watching cartoons.

Having now been 3 1/2 years without my mom, and more than a quarter-century without my dad, I can tell you that I have often had those moments where I stop to think about being an 'orphan', and to compare my father's life to my own.
