you're not useless though, seriously. And if the masters sounds boring, you'd hate it no matter how brilliant your exams are. It might be frustrating now, but in the grand scheme of things it'll be ok. In a bit of time you probably won't remember these results. You'll be happy and fluffy and doing something you enjoy. Hardly anyone knows what they want to do at our age, so I wouldn't worry too much *hug*
thank you...its always nice to know that the people around you don't think you're stupid! Apparently the translation studies course is mostly people who do chinese and korean anyway rather than european languages, so philosophy's probably going to be a better option. I got my french-english translation paper back today and got a 2-1 so i was maybe just having an off day when i did the others :)
Exams always seem to make me write totally stupid things too! Its difficult with languages cos sometimes things sound right- I find its usually cos I've being saying it wrong all along! Dont worry, you most definitely are NOT stupid!! If the translating course sounds boring dont do it, I really hate translating, have you thought about interpreting?
I've considered interpreting, but i'm not very good at it..i'm a bit slow! Plus i don't think i want any more to do with the French or their language after i've done my degree, i'm sick of them all! At least if i do the philosophy one i can become a philosopher and make a living out of pondering things!
