Another long day at the office. If I didn't go out with Will to lunch it would have felt like I was stuck in the movie Groundhog Day. The day wouldn't have really been like the movie though because it wouldn't have repeated over and over. I digress

I was about ready to give up on Xander for the day and maybe just go talk to him tomorrow at the office. As much as I didn't want to do that, it was seeming like he would never show up. But then I heard the elevator door and looked up. There he was. Finally.

"You waiting for me?"

He was smiling. I loved his smile. It was always so warm and loving. Totally makes you feel like you can trust him. And I knew I could.

I smiled at him as I stood up.

"Of course. Who else would I be waiting for?"

"I don't know. I do know that I have a round edible thing in this square inedible thing. No 'delicious fishes' though, I didn't know that you were coming."

I unlocked the door to my apartment for us and waited for her to walk in before heading in myself.

I could smell the pizza. It smelled so good. On further inspection I realized it was from my favorite pizza place in the area. I hadn't been here long, but I already had a favorite pizza place. Kinda sad.

"That's okay. I'll forgive you this time on account of the surprise visit. But maybe you should keep some in your fridge from now on... just in case."

I laughed a little as I entered his apartment. I'd never been in here before today. It was a nice place. Not quite as big as mine and Buffy's but hey, there was only one of him.

"Nice apartment."

I grabbed the pizza box from him and set it down on the table. Opening it up, I snagged a piece and started chowing down. I hadn't even really realized that I was hungry.

"That's okay. I'll forgive you this time on account of the surprise visit. But maybe you should keep some in your fridge from now on... just in case."

"Blech, I can get you the can kind Dawnie, and put them in the back of one of my cabinets. I can't imagine looking at those every time I open my refrig."

As we walked in I noticed her checking out my place. It wasn't as big as my last place and not quite as nice either, but I didn't need as much space anymore. Only me now.

We walked into the kitchen and she grabbed the pizza. I grabbed some paper plates and some Cokes out of the frige. I handed her one of each and sat down across from where she was standing.

"So what's up? Miss Social Butterfly 2005, gracing a mere mortal with her prescence?" I joked. I figured that she was having a blast in LA. I hoped that she was.
