Why does it seem that, so often, many women claim that the most important criteria in their search for a partner is kindness and sensitivity, yet when it comes to choosing the candidate, the superficial assholes seem to be at the top of the list? To what degree does the (increasing) superficiality, narcissism, and materialism of our socio-cultural context influence this apparent tendency? It seems they are more and more becoming 'virtues' these days.
