Wow, it's been a long time since I posted a question in here! Gomen ne! ^__^;; I hope this one will bring many responses. It has been a question that has been looming through my head for the past few days.
How do you feel about Arashi's popularity growing outside of Japan?
Recently, some people have been contacted by Fuji TV about the growth of JE fans in the United States. I was one of the ones they contacted and while they asked questions about JE, my responses were more Arashi centered so they sent me more asking why I thought Arashi was popular in the United States. I answered their questions happily thinking that it was sooo great that fans here were finally getting recognized but then after sending the e-mail, I thought about that recognition. I thought that it was a great thing but at the same time, if Arashi really did become popular here, what would that mean? Would the people who like Arashi still love them for them or would they just be those people jumping on the bandwagon? What would happen when more people find out about our subbing communities and things like this? Would we all be sued? Would making Arashi or any other JE group popular here be a risk that we are willing to take and lose what we already have? And if we do lose everything, like pictures (since it is illegal to have pics of Johnny's in unofficial places), subbing communties, LJ communities, and ect., how will new fans be able to find out infromation about them? In a way I love the fact that Arashi and their fans are getting exposure and I am hoping for a concert here!! but in another way, I am scared of the outcome. How does everyone else feel about this? Do you have the same questions and reservations about Arashi's popularity growing?
[This also can apply to other countries as well.]
I hope this was an ok question to ask. The thought has really been going through my head a lot lately.
Until next time!! ^_^
