Jacob - 1 yr RIP and more kitty bad news

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my cat Jacob's death. I have missed him a lot this year...I've missed his presumption of the right to sit on and around me (he had absolute confidence in my affection) and the way he would vibrate with happiness when I held him. I have tried to channel my affection for him to my other two cats who always suffered

I'm so sorry, on both counts. I hope Lucy makes a miracle recovery, somehow: it could happen. Will send good thoughts her (and your) way.

Hopefully they checked for diabetes or hyperthyroid... as both are things that would make her lose weight and yet be relatively easy to cure, its not uncommon at that age. But like humans, length of life depends alot on genetics and chance.

OMG, I am so sorry. I'm so very sorry ... about Jacob, and Lucy, too.

I know just what you mean about a cat's sureness of your affection, and the ways they vibrate with joy at being held. Also about how later cats suffer from the not-being-THAT-cat syndrome.

I'm praying for all your babies.
