Kurt's sense of time was just a continuous haze at the moment, and whilst he was aware it was probably dark outside because Blaine was here after spending time at home packing during the day, he had no idea how early or late it was. He was also always exhausted, so it wasn't like he could rely on his body clock to tell him whether he should be asleep or awake. He was just a little groggy at the moment because the latest dose of medication had kicked in and he had spent the entire day with his head in a puke bag after his latest chemo round ended the day before. He was hoping like hell that Andrew would discharge him on Monday so he could go home and get out of this place, but it was just a matter of seeing how he fared over the weekend. Kurt hadn't seen Andrew in days, and he had apparently been off sick, though Kurt factored it down to the likelihood that Andrew needed time in the wake of his split with Sam... which Kurt was still reeling from. It was what had him sitting here watching Blaine sleep and thinking about the past. He had

While things hadn't exactly gotten up and going at any really serious rate, the time that he had been able to spend with Abi had made it pretty clear to him that he definitely wanted to spend more time with her in the future. Her dedication to helping Andrew, while it might have put a stop to things with any other guy, only made Pete that much more attracted to her. Few people understood the responsibility he felt to be there for his brothers and look out for them, but with Abi, there had been a near-instant connection based on that aspect alone

Abigail had only just sat down in one of the chairs beside Blaine when her pager started to trill in her pocket... and right after Kurt just requested they be quiet too. A few very unladylike curses fell softly from her lips as she reached inside her jacket to pluck it out of the breast pocket to shut it up. Blaine stirred in his sleep, and she held the pager gripped between her fingers as her eyes locked on him to make sure she hadn't just woken him up. Shit, she would feel terrible if she had, knowing sleep for Blaine lately had been a huge struggle. "I'm so sorry," she said quickly to Kurt, keeping her voice low once she saw Blaine just turn his head but just sleep on when it lolled to the side against the pillow

Of course, Kurt was immediately distracted then watching Blaine to make sure he wasn't going to wake up. He had been running a bit of a fever earlier and feeling drained, but it wasn't uncommon for Blaine with the HIV. Kurt had learnt that Blaine would just randomly spike a fever that never eventuated to anything, or he could vaguely show fluey symptoms without actually ending up with the flu. It was just another thing they needed to get used to, but Kurt just wanted Blaine to rest as much as he could so it didn't turn into something more nasty or sinister. Something was beyond off with Blaine lately and whenever Kurt tried to broach the subject with him, Blaine just promised he was okay. When he saw Blaine's head drop down to the side as he continued to sleep peacefully, Kurt bit down on his lip, relieved he hadn't been woken up and then gently tucked the blanket back up over Blaine's shoulder
