I love school, I really do, but I hate exams. I feel like it's too much pressure, because if you blow an exam, you can end up losing all of your hard work! It's really like testing our ability of memory, and mine isn't the best.
Oh well, I'll do fine. I hope. And my courses mostly seem a lot more scary than they are, just large names, and a lot of notes..
Good luck with you end of year exams Lara, I'm sure you'll do well ^^. Funny how things work in different countries, my induction to university starts on Tuesday and everyplace else is going through their final exams >_>. Gotta love the Trimester system huh?
You will ^^. It is kinda strange but the first week is really just the induction then the classes start the next week and really I'm too used to it all working this way.
I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm sure I will, I love Chemistry and to be able to take it further like this is something I've always wanted to do.
Honestly, I found introduction to be way more nerve-wracking than actual classes. It was all new faces, new places, new things, made my head spin! Then once routine sets it, you find a moment to slow down, no?
Chemistry? Really? I should have known you were the science type!
Thank you! I've been taking quite a few breaks for that, I promise. My Mamka keeps baking things, and sending them through the post to me, so I've been mostly surviving off of black coffee, and scones as of late.
It appears I am not the only Chosen who has recently been bogged down with studying. I somehow think you and I might have something in common, Miss Lara.
I am Mina Raksha, by the way. A Chosen from India. I saw on Tatum's journal you may be coming out here to New York for her play. Are you still able to go? I would be delighted to meet you, if you so desire.
I've been held down by this for over a week now. I would say it's getting a little stressful, but.. I'm just trying to keep my head up until it's over! You're taking examination too, though?
It's great to meet you, Mina. I guess you already know a bit about me, but I'm a Chosen from Russia, if you didn't know. (: I go to university here in Moscow, taking a mixture of languages and political sciences. And yes, I'll definitely be there! I've been promising Tatum that I'd visit for a long time, and this seems like the perfect opportunity. Catherine will probably be going too, and I haven't seen her in ages either, since I've been locked away.
I figure I deserve a break, plus I strongly support the cause, so why not, no? I'll definitely be there, and it will be a pleasure to meet you!
Now, just to get back to finishing up this chapter, and then I have to get ready!
I definitely know what you mean. I have exams coming up also, but until this morning I was working on an eight page essay for political science class. I pulled an all nighter, but at least it's finished and another thing I won't need to worry about.
It sounds like we do have a lot in common! I'm pre-law at the moment and am taking similar classes to you it seems. Which languages are you working on at the moment? We should perhaps try studying together sometime, I have been told it can be useful to have someone to study with, but have never had a study partner before.
I am sure Tatum would agree with you on that 100%! It would be an honor to have you join me as well. :)
In that case, I will get back to proof reading my essay so that I can be ready to meet you also.
I was lucky, we finished all of our big papers last week. One of my classes had a professor who is leaving the country for summer, so we did a large paper for her, in exchange of missing out on an exam! Glad that's over! Ohhh, and all nighters, I'm very used to them lately! I've only been getting in three and four hours of sleep this week, between scanning books, and brewing coffee to keep me up
( ... )
Now I am the one replying late! ♥ Don't worry, Lara, you have to study! You don't have much longer to go, either.. and your PI exam will turn out well, I'm sure! You're brilliant. I must be off to start my e-mail for you, then, so relax and get back to your studies. I hope that my message won't be a letdown after your long one! (Don't read it until that last test is over!)
Oh, and I was so glad to see you last Friday, by the way. I always enjoy seeing you! I hope to see you later this week, too.. Let's talk about specifics next time we talk on the phone!
I wish I didn't have to study, sometimes, wouldn't it be so much easier? I've had that PI exam in less than an hour, with walking to the hall included. I'm still frazzled about it! I think I found it the hardest, I don't think I did so well, as brilliant as you might see me as. :) Hopefully it was okay, because at least I'm DONE~
So now I'm allowed to read that message, hehe, I'll be awaiting your next e-mail! Nothing you send my way is a letdown, don't worry. But I think I'm going to go out to dinner tonight, but my phone will be on. Give me a call later and we can discuss those specifics, no?
And yeah, about last Friday, I.. was an idiot am really sorry about how I acted, once we began drinking at Michael's. I swear, I usually don't drink that much! I think I was just really excited to see everyone. I can't believe I got sick. But it was so nice to see you!!

Make sure to add plenty of study breaks -- especially for food!
Good luck!
