The Rani returned to the Main Gauche to find traces of foreign genetic material on her equipment. While she tolerates Elashte's presence in her lab, he at least understands that he will not touch her things on pain of... something suitably dire, but apparently not everyone got that message.
So she's making sure it's not left to implication.
She's scraped the skin cells off her supplies and tailored a 24-hour bacteria culture which will react to the Doctor and the Doctor only, giving him a suspicious purple rash (which will itch horribly) on contact. She's coated a paper note informing him, in Gallifreyan, that he's not to so much look at readouts on her equipment without her express prior permission or she will summarily mutate him into something with neither opposable thumbs nor a vocal tract. She's put this into a small canister, with "To the Doctor" written in precise Latin alphabet lettering, English language, and attached it to the collar of her dog.
She's then given the dog the Doctor's genetic trace and a very good prolonged-energy dinner, and sent it out to find him.
Specimen 139 has been walking all night, and has finally come to the Casa del OT3. It hops the fence - the thing is more decorative, than anything - and paws at the door, letting out a plaintive whine.
