This one is unique in that he'll be going back to London after a while, here, despite being the only Doctor to naturally speak with an American accent, but... his TARDIS and best friend have a good chance of being in this fair city, and he'd rather like to find them.
Oh, and also track down the epicentre of that massive Rift disturbance UNIT picked up a while ago. Tracking it down to this city was difficult enough; for pinpointing the exact cause and nature, they send five of their best.
Four of whom are wondering where the hell their Time Lord attaché went.
...The !7th Doctor is wandering the streets of Chicago, waiting for his journal to reset itself from the London to Chicago network, and kinda wishing he had a sonic screwdriver. Much as an inclision multiplier is more his style, it's... not good for long-range scannings, really.
