In the Conrad Hotel lobby, Martha Jones is in the middle of a heated conversation with Suzanne Norton. Martha has not slept. She stayed up all night trying to figure this all out, but has come up with nothing, and then in frazzled protest approached Suzanne on her way back into the hotel to wait for Sark.
The conversation mostly revolves around, "I'm a doctor! I never took a business class in my life! I've no idea what to do with a bloody hotel!" And Suzanne responding with, "I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do." Shortly after 12pm, Suzanne excuses herself to wait for Julian Sark in one of the conference rooms on the first floor.
Martha collapses in a chair in the hotel lobby, with her hands pressed over her face. Eventually she will calm down and be sane and rational about this. She's handled worse than owning a hotel, but this is a different sort of situation entirely and she can't help, but be afraid she will royally screw it up.
Emily Noble is waiting on the porch steps of the Casa, hoping that the Doctor will come home or come near enough the home. It's just... something's coming. She is getting a better handle on what it is, but she wants to go to a bigger Rift, cause she thinks it will help. She is on the edge of leaving the house, writing a note for Donna, and going, but it takes her nearly ten minutes to write a sentence since she's still only learning. So for now she will wait.
Rusty Hunt hates selling drugs in Grant Park. It's too close to the Conrad to make him comfortable. Alliance or not, he is not all that comfortable around angels still. He has no opinion at all about the CLF and can't see why any of them would attack him.
And then Robin Rice is wandering near the Gauche. He has a can of coffee in a plastic, because yes, he came all of the way out here to buy coffee. If anyone asks, he will tell them that, but that's... not exactly why he happens to be wandering in this area.
There is a kitten limping along the sidewalks of Chicago, which is not exactly uncommon. He got sideswiped by a bicycle in this form. Luke Roberts is really actually lucky to be alive. Lucky it was only a young kid in a bicycle, but this is the first time he has been injured in this form and he's not sure how the injuries will translate to his human form. So he's not going to transform back until he has to. For his next job, which is tomorrow... hopefully that client likes injured boys.
And Elizabeth Jules is looking for dying people all around the city. She is naiive. She has no idea she could possibly be in danger just by walking on the sidewalk, but that's what she's doing! There has to be someone that needs help dying!
