This morning, Abby woke to two oddities lying on her pillow besides her: a small doll, and a note telling her to be somewhere at midnight. Because of the meeting, she had been planning to skip the party tonight, as much as she'd like to go, but when she put her hand over the doll in her pocket -- she's not sure why, but it seems right to carry it in her pocket, to keep it with her -- she's suddenly certain she should.

When she steps inside, the beauty of the room taking her breath away even before the magic takes hold of her, she's glad she did.

Her plain-but-pretty dress is replaced with a long and lovely deep green gown, her usual leather gloves replaced with evening gloves to match, and she looks down and laughs right out loud, lifting her skirts and twirling herself around as she moves deeper into the room.

She makes her way around the edge of the room, but she's keeping her eyes out for familiar faces or, better yet, anyone who looks like they might like to dance, and she's not shy about asking if she finds someone.

Oliver hasn't fully stepped foot within the Kashtta before his casual wear is transformed entirely in what can only be described as a dashing suit. He keeps to himself, Oliver, which is why many may not know him despite the fact he's lived in the Tower for half a year. It's probably why he isn't so surprised about this sudden shift in clothing.

Not exactly suited to him, he thinks, but everyone else seems to be experiencing one transformation or another.

His is not a familiar face, Abby, but he's being followed, it seems, by chirping, dancing birds. They almost don't seem like they're real life, and he's turning and twisting in his efforts to get rid of them.

They seem way too fond of being all up in his grill.

She notices his attempt to escape from the birds and covers her mouth with her hand, trying not to laugh. She doesn't really manage it, but she does try to help him by batting the birds away as they pass by her. "Shoo! ...Wait, does that even work on birds?"

If it does in general, it definitely doesn't seem to on these.

"I saw that," Oliver warns her, pointing a finger at her in her attempt not to laugh. There's a small smirk on his face that conveys he's not actually upset about this. He's an easygoing guy. In fact, he's going to give a small laugh himself when she tries to shoo the birds. The shooing only makes them scatter and circle Abby now.

"I think that makes them believe we're playing hard to get," Oliver offers as an explanation.

"I tried to help. I think that makes up for it," she argues, not even bothering to stop her giggles, especially as the birds start to circle her. She reaches out a hand to bat at one, which makes a slightly annoyed-sounding chirp at her as it dodges her hand.

"Have these been following you all day, or did they come with the party?" she asks, still trying to catch one of the birds. They're starting to circle her out of her reach, now.
