Harry Potter woke up believing that he was at Hogwarts in his first year of schooling. It was shortly after the incident with the troll in the bathroom where he, Hermione, and Ron first made the team that they did and took down the troll together. When he woke up in an entirely unfamiliar bed, he was confused. He was more than confused really. No

Abby really is just a big kid at heart, and she grew up with that movie.
She backs up a few steps after pulling his string, only to bump into Bullseye standing behind her, and giggles, wrapping her arms around herself to restrain herself from cuddling the giant living toy. "Oh, that is so cool," she announces brightly.

Lucky expects to turn around to see another kid, and he opens his mouth to say something to them, small smile on his face. He loves children, and he misses his own sons very much so it's been kind of cool playing with a bunch of kids before.
He's surprised that she's as old as she is, but not really in a bad way. There's nothing wrong with being
"Bullseye is pretty cool. I'd rather... at least be missing the string. It feels funny when it gets pulled."
Like a tickling feeling, and he is so confused about how it's even inside of his back.

She gives the string a curious look. "So I'm guessing it wasn't your idea to turn into a lifesized Sheriff Woody, then? Unless being able to equip yourself with a pull-string is part of what the rift did to you.... Which would actually be kind of fun. You could make awesome costumes with that ability."

He laughs at what she says. "No, it wasn't my idea. Even if it was, I don't think I could come up with such a perfect... costume or y'know Bullseye," Lucky says as he gestures to the horse. "I only know about the movies so well because of... my sons. Back where I came from. You're... not a wanderer are you?"
If she knows automatically that he's one, she has to be either angel or demon.

She gets a nudge in the back from Bullseye and decides to completely abandon dignity, throwing her arms around the stuffed horse's neck and giving it a hug, but she keeps part of her attention on Lucky, enough to keep talking, anyway. "How long have you been in Chicago?"

He glances at her, laughing slightly at her reaction to Bullseye, how she throws her arms around the horse's neck. "I've... wow, it's been a year actually or it will be at the end of the month," Lucky admits, and it sneaks up on him to a certain extent. "What about you?"

"Time flies," she says with a sympathetic smile. "I've been here almost three years, although I'm in and out of the city a bit. I have family all over the country, so my brother and I take a lot of trips." She laughs. "I've only been here since I started college. We were in New York for a couple of years before that, and before that we went all over."

He smiles back at her, just as sympathetically. "Three? Wow. I know a few people that have been here ten, seven years. It's a long time to be in Chicago," he says, and his smile widens a bit. "I love New York. I used to live near there, near the city, but the... city I lived in doesn't exist here, not like in my universe."
Not the same in any way, and he looked into it out of curiosity if nothing else.

"It is. I guess you get used to it eventually, though, when you've been here that long." She nods. "I know that happens sometimes. I'm sorry to hear it." Her smile brightens as she adds, "But I love it too. It's nice to be out on our own and everything, but I think I miss New York as much as I miss my parents sometimes."

Lucky nods, laughing. "Yeah, I feel like I've been here a lot longer than I have," he admits, still smiling a little. "It' a Chicago thing. New York's a great place to be, no wonder you miss it."
Reply
She laughs a little, sympathetically. "It can do that. Even moreso for Wanderers, I'd bet."
Reply
It nearly drove her insane. He looks over at her and smiles. "Yeah, it can, but it feels like home too."
