Connor Hale had seen plenty of odd things throughout his long stay in Chicago. One could almost call him a veteran. He wasn't born and raised in the city, but he might as well have been. He'd stood by it through plenty of disasters and plenty of Rift shenanigans.

He could honestly say he had never witnessed something like this, however. Connor walked past the girl the moment she began to turn in a circle, singing.

The Smiths.

"Now there's a song I haven't heard in a while."

He will be catching the frantic look in her eye soon enough.

The song stopped as she turned to look at him. Fell's Church wasn't a big town. Bonnie knew what extracurricular activities every person in her graduating class had been involved in, knew most of the people in town by name, and definitely at least recognized people around her own age at the very least by appearance.

She'd never seen this guy before in her life.

And at that realization, the panic began to grow and she found herself singing again.

"Wild man's world is crying in pain," she sang at the man. "What you gonna do when everybody's insane? So afraid of fortune, so afraid of you, what you gonna do? Crazy on you, let me go crazy on you."

Heart, she wondered to herself? Really?

Okay, something was definitely wrong.

"Hey, hey," he said, voice as soothing as he could possibly make it, the concern evident in his features. Sure, he didn't know this girl, but it didn't matter. The frightened look on her face would make him concerned, stranger or not. "It's okay, slow down."

"Do you know what happened to you?" he asked.

Of course, Connor couldn't instantly jump to the conclusion she just fell through the Rift, despite looking out of place. But it's Chicago. There were plenty of things that could've gone wrong, including a Muse infecting her on his way.

They couldn't always control their own ability, infecting people with inspiration, forcing them to burst into song and dance.

Chicagi was an interesting place, alright.

"Crazy on you..." she half sang, half mumbled into her hands and she placed them over her face.

Why was she singing? Why couldn't she stop singing? This was all getting weirder and weirder. Maybe it was some kind of magic spell gone wrong. Summer Soltice, and she'd been in the circle of trees with a circle of candles. One candle had fallen away and broken through the trees? Broken circles? Could that have sent her away? Any possibility of that?

She wasn't sure, but the rush of thoughts were enough to calm her down and make her stop singing.

She spread her fingers, peeking out at the man between them. He was still there.

"No," she finally responded in an uncertain chirp.

Buffy has experience with the Rift. She has experience with spontaneous singing. She knows that normally, people who spontaneously burst into song because they want to (see: Shawn Spencer), don't normally look this scared and out of place.

Buffy doesn't spend a lot of time with Shawn, but honestly, the man drives a wiener mobile. He's kind of hard to miss, and hot dogs happen to be a good post-slaying snack. But the singing, that's a problem.

Regardless, she's disregarding the singing -- if Sweet has fallen through the Rift, she'll find him and take him down fast -- and dealing with the fact that scared frantic looking girl means probably a new Wanderer. She slowly makes her way closer, and gives her a friendly smile.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

Bonnie turned around to face the other woman.

She wasn't familiar. She was too pretty for Bonnie to have overlooked her in Fell's Church. Nothing was looking like home. Nothing was right.

It had to be a dream, right?

"Will you raise me up, will you help me down?" she sang to the blond woman. "Will you get me right out of this godforsaken town? Will you make it all a little less cold?"

And she paused, as if waiting for an answer.

Not what she's expecting, but she can read between the lines. She's taking those particular lyrics to mean that she's in need of a bit of help, one way or the other.

"And now I want to listen to Meatloaf," she sighs. "I can try and help? Though this might not be what you want to hear."

Spoiler: it never is.

"My name's Buffy. You're in Chicago."

Bonnie immediately has two important questions.

First, how did she get to Chicago?

Secondly, who names their child Buffy?

Both of these questions are distracting enough that they make Bonnie stop singing, and she furrows her brow a little as she examines the other woman. Which question is more important to get further information about?

"Is that your full name or is it short for something?" she asks.

Everyone has priorities.

[OOC: This is timey-wimeyed somehow to before he runs into Stefan and Katherine. :) Cause otherwise, he'd not be very good to talk to but I wanted her to run into him!]

Damon has seen a lot in his time in Chicago. He has been in the city for almost a year, and it's subjected him to several near apocalypses, disasters, sparkling (yes, he was made to sparkle), a happy-go-lucky Elena for a week, and a curse from a witch that got progressively worse each day.

He hasn't seen anyone singing in the middle of the park or no apparent reason. All things considered, it could be a lot weirder. This is Chicago.

It doesn't stop him from looking sideways at her in confusion. "You know this is not a karaoke bar, right, or are you just that drunk?"

When he's that drunk, clothes are usually removed but to each their own.

It takes her a moment to face him, since she's staring up at the sky as she sings--trying to figure out if she's still in the same location after all and if it's only the shadows of the night playing tricks on her. Astrology was never her favorite branch of magic, though, and so she looks over at the other man without quite figuring the map of the sky out.

And she's so startled that she stops singing.

"Damon," she exclaims in a voice that is a pure combination of joy and relief. She runs over quickly, a flash of white dress and red hair, and throws her arms around him.

So she was just crazy after all. This is Fell's Church, it was nothing more than a moment of panic. Because if Damon's here, Bonnie knows she's home.

Damon stares. He is not at all expecting this reaction. First of all, there is no one... in his over hundred years of living and non-living who would look at him and approach him like that. Secondly, he has no idea who she is, but she's saying his name.

He makes a face. He really hates the Rift. This is not the first time someone has claimed to know him when he had no idea who they were. However, even they didn't react to him like this.

"Lets back away a few steps, shall we?" Damon says with a small smirk as he does take a step back, sliding his hands up to remove her arms from around him. Gently enough considering he never likes when someone knows more about him than he knows about them. "Much as I completely understand the overwhelming and impossible-to-resist urge for women to tackle me, I don't know you but... you apparently know me."

She backs away, though the confusion at his words is evident on her face. "Damon?" she asks uncertainly. And something is weird about this, she immediately decides, other than the fact that this doesn't look like Fell's Church and that her sort-of-boyfriend suddenly has a very weird sense of humor.

"It's me," she says, giving him a funny look. "Bonnie? Damon, what are you--"

And then it hits her, what's different about him. "Wait, what happened to your accent?"

The idea that this is a dream is seeming more and more likely with each passing moment.
