It's a stark contrast to everywhere else he's been in that that connection to Heaven is gone. He can feel pieces of it, leaking through the Rift and into this universe -- he presumes it's why he still has the abilities he does -- but this universe has no Heaven. It has no Hell. There is only this one dimension, and while he has friends here, has built a life here, in the most abstract sense, he misses that feeling of being tethered to something important. Something bigger.
And then, at that one moment, he feels it. A presence he hasn't felt in a long time, a presence that shouldn't be there, but is and he flies to it without a second thought. He knows exactly who it is, and while her presence in and of itself is weaker than he remembers it, it's a comfort nonetheless.
He lands behind her, studying the back of her shoulders with rapt curiosity -- he does not know when she will be from, what she will remember, but he knows he won't find out unless he speaks.
"Hello, Anna."

"Uriel is not to be trusted," she expresses to him. It's the primary thought in her mind and for a moment she almost considers that his alignment might be what brought her to this place.

"Uriel is not a concern here." It's a small comfort, he's sure, compared to what he is about to tell her, but for now he hopes that it at least provides some relief.

"No, he isn't. I'm not sure I know what happened," she confesses, trying not to think too far beyond what she's learning in these moments.
