ngl I dropped Doctor Who about halfway through the first Eleven season, it unimpressed me that much. Granted I've never been a gigantic fan of Doctor Who even with Ten (never saw Nine's season), so maybe it just didn't take much to make me disappointed enough to quit watching.

ok maybe I just hate Amy

Haha

Amy is probably my least favourite companion, but it's not her that makes me prefer older New Who. Idek what it is. Matt Smith? The new style? It's a mystery to me.

I haven't even seen the season premiere yet and I sort of guessed that would happen. I'm such a Who-head that I'm going to watch it anyway, but man do I ever miss my David Tennant. <3

I'm such a DW fan that I won't stop watching until I die until it ends, but maaaaaan I need my favourite Scottish eye candy.

I liked it. I was confused too, but I figure that next week will answer what it needs to. Also that Shit Is Going To Go Down. Which should be amusing.

But ... and I realise how unpopular a view this is ... I do not miss Tennant. At all. Even a little bit. His death scene ruined him for me completely and I had a tendency to refer to him as 'the crackweasel' anyway. He just didn't do it for me.

...I want Ecclestone back.

The teaser for next episode looked pretty badass, I must admit.

Wow, I think you're the first DW fan I've known that doesn't like Ten. What about his death scene ruined him for you? Ngl, Ecclestone would be my second choice to have back. He was so awesome and ... northern.

...It was the lack of grace. It was the temper tantrum he threw, that he made Wilf watch. Wilf did not need to carry that guilt for the rest of his life, that a man he looked at at least in part like a son as well as a hero died to save what was left of his life. Now Nine ... Nine had class. I can't think that the three seasons he had as Ten would have changed him enough to let him lose that classiness.

...Then, of course, there was the somewhat cloying, overly convenient, "Gee, it sure is taking you a long time to die, Doctor" montage of him checking up on all his Companions, as if it was RTD going, "See? See all the awesome I have achieved? SEE? I DID GOOD! And frankly, when Ten said, "I don't want to go" ... I felt it was more RTD saying it than the Doctor.
