I'd be interested to know the reasons behind why these themes were disallowed! If only because it'd be interesting to have a peek into the development cycle and the logic behind the decision making.

I'd also be interested in knowing why these themes are now unappable. Partially because Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers was pretty much the one theme I actually knew well enough to help run plot things for and partially because it was one of the few theme appropriate shows that were around in the US in the 90's. There weren't even that many edits going on other than name changes (sure the OVA didn't get an import til later but I'm talking the core series showed up in like... '95.)

*shrug*
Ah well. Move on. No sense getting overly grumpy since there has to be a good reason here.

Edit: better question a friend of mine brought up.

Wht themes are appable? Given we're running on apparently outdated data having a concrete theme list with each theme showing whether or not OC's would be up for grabs (either antagonist or protaganistic OC's) would be good.

Then again is that on the wiki? I don't remember seeing anything on there like that, could be wrong. If so I apologize.

There is no such thing as a concrete list of what themes are appable. That's impossible to make. There are a handful we've pre-integrated, and other themes can be integrated as they get applications. Note that part of the app is a question about integrating a theme that isn't there yet.

If it's very obviously Magical Girl, then it is probably appable. (I say probably because I'm sure there may be exceptions, like Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, Vivid, and Force.)

There are certain themes with a similar and compatible 'feel' to them that may be able to be integrated. Those themes are probably going to be handled on a case-by-case basis, but the wiki does talk about what is common in our integrated series.

Thank you.

Now, why was Samurai Troopers kicked off the theme list? I personally don't see what the problem is so seeing the cause might help in understanding why other themes might get told they're a no-go later on.

So what themes are appable? I haven't seen a list.

As said before, there's no hard list-if it's magical girl, it's probably in. In the case of borderline or questionable series, ask the staff.

Wikipedia has a good list of magical girl series if you're looking to find some. Note that this isn't complete or perfect, and it's also no guarantee that a series will be appable at our game. It's more a resource to find a general sampling of magical girl shows. Again, if you're in doubt or wondering about a specific series, feel free to ask staff!

At least with Samurai Troopers I'm going to have to disagree with you on appropriateness. However as you are the ones making the rules further argument or even discussion, at least as I've found in past attempts at getting the Powers that Be to change their minds, is worse than pointless.

Edit:
It just hit me. Ronin Warriors on DVD. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?!

And does it include just the main series or does it have main plus OVA? Are there any extras? Is it a barebones clusterflop?

I mean I watched the whole (main) series on youtube and that's pretty awesome in of itself since last time I'd seen it proper was when cartoon network had it.
