Tippy Toes

Aug 08, 2012 04:13

We stand together with lake water swishing past our ankles
And the sand is soft and slick beneath our feet
I don't mind reaching up to wrap my arms around you
And getting up on tippy-toe so our lips can meet

You've got to bend down so our noses touch
But I find that I couldn't care less
I'll jump into your arms, feet off the ground
Kiss you sound and let our foreheads press

I'll stretch up high to hold your face in my hands
No distance will ever be too great
I'll go anywhere with you, for you
And I'll kiss you, even if I need my tippy toes to compensate
