The saddest news. Elliott Smith committed suicide on Tuesday; he stabbed himself in the heart. He was 34. I don't know if you even know who he is. You might have seen my random "Elliott Smith is God" quotes in my music subject line. I have loved him-- his music, poetry, the coincidental honesty I felt all the time listening to those albums

Hiya, stranger!!! How is Chicago treating you? And when are you two coming BACK?!?!?!?! Things are different around here in small ways: Nate is more emo than ever. His tattoos just keep popping up everywhere. Nathan and Kandra are... Nathan and Kendra. I am trying to do more art to make money these days but as yet am not having the best luck. I am also dating a 19 year old chef. Mikka is acting. Liz is going to go to graduate school in San Francisco for International relations. There's all kinds of construction going to to "fix" the roads around here: i.e., make them wider to make room for more hummers. Yuck. What's life like there? Keep me informed. I still haven't made it out as yet but would love to at some soonish point. Tell Shauna I said hello. Take care!
