"Putty and paint will make it what it ain't"

Sure, it's terrible grammar, but remember it when looking at colors of rooms and such. Easily changable.

Best of luck with all of this. It's exciting to have your own place.

Well, til you start having to replace this. And that. And that other thing. And then "this" breaks again...

Buying a house is terrifying but still so exciting! I did it when I was 22, I can't believe it was long ago! Good luck *hug*

Good luck!

House shopping is terrifying, but it feels good to move into a place that's YOURS. And Keimel has a point... don't look too much at anything but structure: paint, wallpaper, furniture, and all that sort of thing can be easily changed.

Oh! And it looks like I'm going to be in town for a while in late may... drop me a note if you want to meet for lunch or something.

Thank you!

And oh yes, I am aware that colors can change... I mention the chartreuse rug and bright pink walls more for comedic value, and to give a sense of the era and flavor of the house -- funky, boxy, asymmetrical, and clearly designed to a 50s sensibility of what was modern and hip. It's kind of interesting.

And yeah, I'd love to see you while you're in town. I'll email...

And don't you think my house was OBVIOUSLY made in the 50s? That's what gives it its charm! Well, that and the wall colors. ;)

Thinking of you...
