While, in a pinch, yogurt can make a serviceable substitute for milk in one's tea, cream cheese cannot. The result is vile. Do not attempt it, no matter how desperate you are.

Do not ask how I know this. (The answer is embarrassing.)

I agree with condensed milk - also powdered works well or soy milk.

Sadly, the whole problem was that this occurred at work, not at home. Someone probably decided that the soymilk creamer that usually lives in the fridge was going to spoil over the school vacation week, and took it home with them. At the same time that we ran out of powdered creamer. Leaving those of us who were working the vacation-week day care to suffer. ;)

Yay, yogurt! Now I know a new thing. However, I bet yogurt would curdle in coffee. Ah well.
