So, in the interest of figuring out exactly how some of the LJ poll properties work, I give you the following pointless poll. (Yes, I realize I could probably just ask someone or look it up in the FAQ, but this is more fun.) Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to fill out the first poll as your whim dictates, then go view the results ( Read more... )

Erm..,.. second poll, no valid answer.

When I first looked at the post, I could see only two polls with their questions.

I answered the first poll, hit 'submit poll' and then it reloaded wit hteh first poll's answers and the second poll with questions.

I commented before submitting to the second poll.

Sorry, I think that's just poor wording on my part, caused by trying to be overly concise.

What I mean was, assuming you could see the first poll at all, when you submitted your answers, were you then able to see its results? If so, could you see only the aggregate results, or could you also click a "view answers" to see individual responses?

No one but you can see the individual results on the first poll. Look at the page logged in, then look at it logged out.

Yup, I actually had that figured out within the first hour or so. Though I figured it out through other people, instead of just logging out -- that would only show me what a non-user can see, and I wanted to know what a user who has taken the poll can see; I did not take it for granted that these would be the same.

And as I said, I figured I could probably just look it up or something, but this was more fun, and ultimately more useful.

Now, having taken the second poll, I see results for BOTH polls in my friend's list.

Really, my answer was, "what the hell was your question?" but there was also a bit of confusion because I'm using Safari, which wigs out a lot more frequently than does FireFox.

I can totally tell we were liberal arts majors and not criminal justice or engineering.

btw, there's still more of same going on in my life, before you ask.
