My teenager's bike got messed up over Christmas by some not so nice people in the neighborhood, when he left it in the front yard for a couple hours. We've managed to fix most of it but still need a back rim, since they laid it down and stomped on it, causing it to bend pretty badly

Holy crap. That sucks. PEOPLE SUCK SOMETIMES!

I'd scour Craigslist's free section for a similar bike and just replace the wheel....

I've been watching it but nobody's posted any in the past few days. He's getting frustrated and bored because he can't take off with all his friends on their bikes, and I'm going insane having him home all day LOL

Check the local bike shops, sometimes they can work something out for ya...or even possibly fix it for fairly cheap. =)
