Last Wednesday I went down to Tainan to visit Juliet. Okay, technically we met up in Kaohsiung first. We went to the Andy Warhol exhibition, which was touring Taiwan, and got to see a lot of weirdly hued portraits of famous people. Since January 1 fell on a Thursday, the Taiwan government kindly gave everyone Friday off too so we could have 4 days off. Juliet took this opportunity to visit. Juliet and I attended a wedding in Hsinchu last Saturday (11/1). We arrived fairly early, enjoyed a very relaxing lunch, then sat around because we didn't want to go out into the unseasonal heat. We did take a walk in National Tsinghua University though. They have their own lake ( Read more... )
