Hi, Im new here. I havent told my parents yet that I am bisexual and Im pretty sure that they will freak out if I do. Any suggestions on how to tell them?? It was easy to tell my best friends, they were very accepting of me and are supportive, but I dont think my parents will be......

What worked for me was telling the parent I felt would react best and as that one to respect your privacy. However, each set of parents is pretty unique so I can't promise that it will work. You can also "test" them by bringing up the subject of bisexuality, or even gay marrige.

I already tested my mom by asking about bisexuality and homosexuality. She said things like, "People who are bi are just confused, they dont know what they want" I told her that its not true. She also said that the thought of it was just plain disgusting and I dont want her to be disgusted by me. thats why I have this whole problem....but thanks for the help!

You know what I did... I asked my mom if she had ever been with another female. You'v got to ask things at the right moment. Like when you two are on a strong comfort level and talking about certain things (by-your-selves) that moms and daughters talk about. My mom knows, she doesn't like it personally but she still loves me the same no matter what SEXUAL preferences that I have. She tells me It's your life, not mine. Live it how you want and do what makes you happy.

Thanks, I might try that sometime. My mom and I have always been really close, probably because I am an only child.

And sure, I'd love to talk on myspace or AIM, I dont have yahoo though, sorry. :)

Hiyaaaa I have the same problem with my mom she said similar things that she doesn't agree with it and I felt like I didn't want to feel that way anymore but we can't help it
