This summer's gig going plans (& something about Kent)
Long time no updates again. I'm guessing my previous update was before the Kent gig in February. The gig was good by the way, although I got in a little late because I missed the earlier bus. It was worth going and I got to see one of my all time favorite bands live for the first time. Track listing can be found on Kent's forum
Track list by tinke88 I was so happy they played 747 which is probably my favorite Kent song of all time and the new songs did sound better live. :)
Even if the gig itself was good I gotta say I've never been more frightened at a gig than I was when I was checking my coat. I guess the closest thing to that situation was in Provinssirock where I saw Limp Bizkit (because my brother wanted to see it, not because I wanted to). There were so many people packed together so tightly that it got a bit scary.
This summer I'll be going to Helsinki to see Miyavi live. XD I'm really glad I managed to get a ticket to his first gig on July 2nd. Not through Tiketti's website though, I tried to get through about 20 minutes that morning when the tickets came on sale, no luck. So I gave up and drove to town and did get a ticket from LevykauppaÄx. Good thing they sold half the tickets through the website and the other half through records stores that distribute tickets sold by
Tiketti (does that make any sense at all???).
Other than that I'd like to go to Qstock because Manic Street Preachers will be playing there on Friday July 25th. Manics is also one of my all time favorite bands so I'd like to go and see them live again. I've seen them two times earlier also at different festivals and I'm curious about what kind of a gig they'd play this time. First time I saw Manics was in Provinssi the same year as Limp Bizkit was there (I guess it was 2001) and that gig was bit of a disappointment. Maybe I had been expecting too much, who knows. Second time was in Ruisrock in 2003 and I thought that gig was much better. Anyways, I'm not sure if I can go to Qstock, have to see if I can get a job and how the shifts are gonna go. I don't think my trip to Helsinki would be a problem because last summer I was able to go to Dublin. Guess that's all for now.
