Using the flash usually results in pretty terrible pictures (i.e. overexposed), so I only take them in well-lit spaces. Which is a shame since there are some amazing dinners I've had in low-lit restaurants that I can't really document.

I also often use the photo editor to lighten them up and add contrast if the lighting was lower than I would have preferred.
