Well y'all, I am on day 2.5 of vacation, and even though it has been raining all day and will likely continue to rain until Friday, I'm still mega grateful to not be in the sub-zero temperatures of NYC, shivering my ass off and looking sorrowfully at my painfully pale & chapped skin.

Oh WOW! That looks beautiful - please give me the details of that villa! My best friend used to be a tour rep in the the DR and he told me so many horror stories about the all inclusive resorts and the tourists who stayed in them that it put me right off. But seeing your pics and reading your report so far I now want to go there more than ahywhere else! I hope the weather channel IS wrong and it cheers up, but, like you say, even if it doesn't at least your not at work and freezing - plus maybe you'll hit gold and there'll be tons of snow in NY and all the flights home will be cancelled :)
