There's a lot of those social networking sites now and some time ago I gave in to my best friend's urging (as well as her invitation) and joined such a network for German students (of secondary education ( Read more... )

I don't know, but it's just that people feel resentful towards those who are different, strangely...

Most of the members I had always perceived as rather nice, quiet and sensible people with common sense and decency

Maybe they're at the stage where they don't want to offend their friends who have invited them and they feel they can't choose to stand out and say NO to this. Or it's just that, for some reason--I don't know why!--people, nice and all, really do, for some reason, just...tend to stand together for un-understandable reasons to dislike someone! D: D: D: D: D: T_T i don't know why either!! D: D: It's very very painful D: *huggles* especially, really, when it's close friends who are that way and it's so hard to talk them out of it!!!!!!! (and they say "we know how you feel, but please let us feel this way towards others".)

I hope you feel better soon, if that's possible and I hope the groups are removed D: And your friend who was targetted, is she all right?

Thank you for the support! *hugs back*

Yeah, maybe you're right and it's just going with the flow, but unfortunately that doesn't make it any more acceptable. Actually it makes it worse to me, probably because I've always been very much against giving in to peer pressure. Then again I was never exactly popular. At least they mostly ignored me instead of actively making fun of me. Meh, why can't everyone be considerate and nice to each other? That would do away with war as well. >.>

I've calmed down a little mainly because the group is gone now. For how long I do not know... As for my friend, she doesn't know about it at all. I haven't told her and I don't plan on doing so either.

For the next week I won't have to cope with any more of this, because I'll be gone and probably internet-less, but I have a three-day heavy metal festival with my best friend to look forward to. Afterwards it's back to school...>.>
