I was just reading the Geresene Demoniac's story from Mark, because I really think that sequence is important for understanding Christ's work. Still being a silly theist the motion from an initial rising from darkness and renewal of the mind to a restoration of communion in the hemorrhagic woman and finally rising to newness of life like the daughter of Jairus seems to me to be a pretty good outline of the journey of the soul, all the more underlined by the parable of the seeds, since it highlights what you can expect as you grow.
The think that always gets me from my little-kid Catholicism is that Jesus disses Mary and his brothers pretty bad here. Now that I'm a little older I get it, but I never liked that part.
